Maverick Money Makers Review – Why You Shouldn’t Buy

Maverick Money Makers 2.0
Overall Ranking: 70/100
Price: $97 discounted to $79, then $97 monthly
Owners: Mack Michaels
Website: www.maverickmoneymakers.com

INTRODUCTION

This program is a dinosaur that is all but extinct, in fact, I believe that it has ‘morphed’ into “Millionaire Society”.  The MMM website is still active, however, and it was one of the premier educational sites for ‘newbies’ in it’s day.  The program is an introduction to affiliate marketing that claims you will require no website or special equipment, other than a computer and an internet connection.

PROS/CONS

For PROs it offers step-by-step training videos as well as a series of nuts-and-bolts Quick Money Blueprints and Skillset Videos that are very instructive.  A major CON is the fact that the site only offers the “how to” but no hosting (they do point you in the right direction, although they say you don’t really need it) or client support forum.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW

This is a ‘academic’ environment which includes Core Training, Quick Money Blueprints (where you supposedly get a jump-start on making money online), Skillset Videos and Mindset Coaching (although the only coach is the owner himself as there is no user-affiliate forum).  There are also several Bonuses which include ClickBank, Niche Marketing, 60 Second Guides and Turnkey Products/PLR.  There is also an extensive ‘Rolodex’ referral network.

Most of the training videos provide a good introduction to the subject material but fall a bit short of the finish line when it comes to being able to turn it into an online cash funnel.

WHO IT IS FOR

This program is aimed at the ‘newbie’ internetwork marketer, but not one who is on a budget because the cost of the program itself will leave little extra cash to invest in your business.

PRICE

The initial claim is $97 with auto-bill monthly.  They did from time to time, offer to discount the initial cost by $18 – 20.

FINAL OPINION/VERDICT

Don’t nibble on this one or the follow-on Millionaire Society, it’s overpriced.  You’re better off getting the real deal at Wealthy Affiliates!

Wealthy Affiliate Review Redux

Wealthy Affiliate
Overall Ranking: 95/100
Price: StartUp Free, Premium $47/mo, $359 annual
Owners: Kyle & Carson
Website: www.WealthyAffiliate.com

INTRODUCTION

It has come to my attention that the perception of my review of Wealthy Affiliate, published November 19, 2013, is that it did not include ‘Tools/Training’ and ‘Support’.  It is my feeling that these areas were covered in ‘Product Overview’, however, in the interest of ensuring that you, the reader, don’t get short-changed, the following enhanced review is offered.

Training Overview
Online Training

The core training at Wealthy Affiliate is broken down into two primary curricula: Getting Started and Affiliate BootCamp.  In addition, there are classrooms, live video classes and chatrooms for both training and support.
Getting Started lessons include:

  • Level 1 – Online Entrepreneur Certification with ten (10) lessons on topics like choosing a niche, setting up a website and search engine optimization all of which create your foundation for success;
  • Level 2 – Ultimate Traffic Training with ten (10) lessons on topics like creating content that converts, Google authorship, content that targets affiliate programs, and getting unlimited traffic from low-hanging fruit;
  • Level 3 – Making Money with ten (10) lessons on topics like understanding affiliate programs, leveraging product reviews, earning pennies or dollars and crafty ways to earn ad revenue;
  • Level 4 – Mastering Social Engagement with ten (10) lessons having titles like Using FaceBook, Pinterest & Visual Hemisphere, Sound Tweeting Campaigns and Google Plus or Minus.

The WA Affiliate BootCamp lessons include:

  • Phase 1 – Starting your Foundation, ten (10) lessons
  • Phase 2 – Content, Keyword & Conversions, ten (10) lessons
  • Phase 3 – Giving Your Site Social Value, ten (10) lessons
  • Phase 4 – Get Visual, Get Aesthetic, Get a Brand, ten (10) lessons
  • Phase 5 – Know Your Audience & Catapult Your Referrals, ten (10) lessons
  • Phase 6 – Bing, Yahoo & the Power of PPC, ten (10) lessons

That’s one hundred (100) pre-recorded training sessions designed to get you up-and-running.  Most have video instruction and ‘homework'; you can complete them at you leisure.  This is not a OnLine Training
speed-run or a race so take your time and take lots of notes for future reference.  I would recommend taking these courses in the order they are presented. WA makes this easy by keeping track of your progress for you.

In addition, there are open classroom discussions on subjects like Getting Started, The WA Affiliate Program, Everything WordPress, the WA Platform, SEO, Local Marketing, Video Marketing, eMail Marketing, PPC Marketing, Social Engagement and WebSite Development & Programming.  Plus you can find chatroom discussions going on virtually around-the-clock.

Finally, there are the Affiliate Classroom and ‘Live Video Classrooms’.  This seems like a contradiction in terms, to me. Remember the old TV commercial “Is it live or is it Memorex?” Check these out when you have time.

Tools & Services Overview

As for tools, first and foremost is the SiteBuilder tool, closely followed by the Keyword Tool.  These are available in the left menu on the Wealthy Affiliate member area or dashboard.

The SiteBuilder is literally a three-step process that is fully automated.  The toughest part of building your site is choosing which of the templates to use. the rest is a piece of cake!  The whole process takes just a few minutes (unless WebSite Builderyou have a hard time selecting your template, of course).

Once your site is built you can use the Keyword Tool to optimize site for traffic from search engines.  Specific details of how to use this tool are included in the training sessions discussed above.

As you continue to develop your site, you will probably want to use the Rapid Writer Tool to draft articles for publishing at Street Articles (another tool/service that you have access to in the left column of the Wealthy Affiliate member’s area).

And last, but certainly not least, is the Jaaxy Keyword service that you have access to (from the left column of the member’s area, as you may have guessed).  This is a premium keyword suite that has a very lucrative affiliate program associated with it.

Support Overview

When you get stuck, in whatever aspect of website development or marketing that you may be working on, help is as close as your dashboard at Wealthy Affiliate.  Check the center column for a discussion that relates to your challenge, or do a search, or start a new discussion by posing a question on Help Meyour profile-blog, and you’ll find several ‘old-timers’ or ‘seasoned’ members who are willing to help you get un-stuck.

The support network here is awesome: no shortage of volunteers who are willing to ‘pay-it-forward’ and offer a solution!  And if it’s a really tough nut to crack, you’ll find that Kyle and Carson (a.k.a. the owners) are at your disposal.

For technical questions relating to web site development, there is access to a ‘Support Ticket’ process.  Just go to ‘Build My Website’ (in the left column, of course) and when the page loads, look for ‘Support Tickets’ by the ‘goodwrench’ symbol at the top of the page.  The response time on support tickets is not instantaneous, but if the member support network can’t help you support tickets are the way to go.  Help is on the way.

It just doesn’t get any better than that!

WHO IT IS FOR

Wealthy Affiliate is a ONE-size-fits-all education and training center.  It’s good for all ages and all experience levels, for newbies and pros alike.

PRICE

StartUp Free; includes basic tools & training videos, support and building/hosting of two websites

Premium $47/mo, $359 annual; includes enhanced tools & training videos, support and unlimited websites with unlimited domain hosting.

FINAL OPINION/VERDICT

I’ve rated this site 95 out of 100, an indication that I hold it in high esteem.  Everyone is welcome here no matter how much, or how little, experience you have.  In fact, I almost believe that if you bring too much experience in with you, you may have to un-learn some things just so you can get it right.

Wealthy Affiliate Review

Wealthy Affiliate
Overall Ranking: 95/100
Price: StartUp Free, Premium $47/mo, $359 annual
Owners: Kyle & Carson
Website: www.WealthyAffiliate.com

INTRODUCTION

Wealthy Affiliate is a membership internet marketing learning center. In fact it’s also been called Wealthy Affiliate University. The site includes a library of text and video training media, a support forum as well as chat discussions and the tools you need to get started, including website hosting.

PROS/CONS

Pro – Resource materials, Support network, Website hosting and tools; an all-in-one package with everything included.

Con – Newbies may suffer Information Overload and Social Distractions; there’s a lot to take in.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW

In order to earn income on the internet, you need a website, how-to training, a support/help network and traffic. Wealthy Affiliate holds the keys to all this and more.

First of all, the website. At Wealthy Affiliate you will learn how to build a website that ranks well in Google and has quality, dynamic content. Content is King! That is to say, just hanging your ‘shingle’ out, is not enough. Your content must be deemed valuable by the ‘google-gods’ and therefore worthy of ranking. And with ranking, traffic will follow. If your content is good enough, conversions or click-throughs will be the result.

Once your website is built, you need to publish it to the web. At Wealthy Affiliate website hosting is included with your membership. As a free member you can host two websites. Once you step up to premium membership, you can add your own domains and as many additional websites as you want.

While you’re learning, and hopefully that will never stop, you’ll need a solid training library to further your education. Wealthy Affiliate has many courses set up to help you along at whatever experience level you come in with. It includes both text and video training and is geared around tutorials that walk you through the steps required to get you where you’re going.

Help MeAnd if you get stuck, you need only ask and a plentiful network of helpful members will gladly offer their services to get you unstuck. There are forums and chatrooms which seem to be active nearly 24 hours a day, seven days a week. If no one online knows the answer to your question, they’ll find someone who does.

Your Wealthy Affiliate site includes a Dashboard, which shows all the current questions/discussions underway as well as current live chats. The classrooms section lists many of the lecture series that are available to you. And right beside that the ‘top ten’ blog posts and trainings. The left side menu includes thing like the ‘Getting Started’ and ‘Bootcamp’ training courses, as well as ‘Live Chat’ and a ‘Build My Website’ status update.

Moving on down the column, there are more classrooms and certification trainings as well as your personal history so you don’t forget where you’ve been. Then there is a Tools and Services section that includes things like Keyword Tools and Rapid Writer, not to mention Jaaxy and Street Articles. And below that you can tap into the top leaders in Wealthy Affiliate.

The depth and breadth that the training and support networks encompass, and how easy it is to locate a source of help if you get stuck, is truly amazing!  For a more detail review of the training classrooms go to Part II of this review.
